Ice Hockey 101 – A Beginners Guide

As I tell my kids in just about anything they do – you’ll never learn if you don’t try. Ice hockey is the exact same way!
We’ve created this Beginners guide to Ice Hockey – otherwise known as Ice Hockey 101 with the main goal of helping you understand the game better.
Many people become overwhelmed when they first see a game of ice hockey.
It’s not hard to understand that two teams play against each other with the winner being decided on who scores the most points – i.e. goals. However, I can certainly understand the hesitation many have with all of the different rules, positions, and equipment. From an outsider’s view, it can be intimidating!
Let’s fix that!
Ice hockey has always been a popular game in Canada and other parts of the world, but it’s popularity is also growing in the USA as well. As such, many more new comers are considering lacing up the skates and hoping onto the ice.
